Mobile Grooming Policies
Thank you for choosing Inspiring Selah Mobile Spa for your pet’s grooming needs. It is my pleasure to be your pet’s groomer! I have had the privilege of serving the Inland Empire since 2007.
Utilizing Inspiring Selah Mobile Pet Spa, Your pet is only steps away from your front door and is always handled with the utmost care.
I book appointments by area and have found it to be the most effective way to serve everyone on my route. I completely understand that everyone is busy. If you must rebook your pet’s appointment, please notify me as soon as possible so that another pet may be scheduled into that time slot.

Behavior & Temperament
If your pet has a behavior problem, please be honest and let me know. This does not mean that your pet cannot be groomed. It means that I will take the extra time and the necessary precautions for everyone’s safety. Even if you're not sure of any behavioral issues, past injuries, accidents, arthritis, hip or leg problems are things I should know about. This will allow me to know the best and gentlest way to handle your pet without making the issues worse.
Owners will be held liable for any bites or any property damage caused by their pets. I will stop the grooming process if I feel your pet’s behavior is compromising their or my safety. Pro-rated charges will apply.
My philosophy is "humanity before vanity." Matted pets will almost always need a full shave. In order to remove the matted or pelted coat, my blade has to get under the damaged coat. Saving or de-matting is not an option because trying to de-matt this coat will only encourage more matting.
"Leaving the mats alone" because you don't want your pet to "look funny," is cruel and unethical for me to ignore and I refuse to comply.
A matted coat can cause skin irritation due to bacteria, mold, or foreign debris such as sticks, burrs, rocks, or even fence wire.
Severely matted coats include risks of nicks, cuts, or abrasions due to catching warts, skin tags, or loose skin.
After-effects of mat removal can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations, head shaking (for heavily matted ears) or abrasions, and failure of the hair to re-grow. In some cases, pets may also exhibit brief behavioral changes. The owner is responsible for the condition of the pet’s coat and will not hold Inspiring Selah Mobile Spa responsible in the event of adverse effects of mat removal and/or shaving. Additional charges will apply for matted pets.
I make every effort that your pet's grooming is safe and pleasant but If your pet should require veterinary services while in my care, you hereby agree to give me permission to obtain treatment if you are not available and further agree to pay any and all expenses.
Cats must be easily accessible and preferably confined in a bathroom or carrier before I arrive.
In my experience, cats always know "something is up" and usually will look for a place to hide on the day of grooming so please plan accordingly.
If you must cancel the appointment due to your cat being MIA (missing in action) this will be considered a missed appointment and you agree to be charged for the full cost of grooming and will need to reschedule a new appointment at full price.
Pricing for each pet is specific based on breed, size, client requests, style, and temperament of pets. Additional charges may apply for de-matting, de-shedding, behavior, flea treatments, or the requirements for specialty shampoos such as hypoallergenic or medicated formulas.

Pricing & Payments

Payments are due at the time services are rendered. For your convenience, I accept cash as well as all major credit and debit cards. Checks are accepted on a limited basis and returned checks will be subject to a 45.00 "returned check fee" plus any fees my bank may charge. If you are not present for your pet's groom, a saved card must be on file at the time of grooming.
Latch-key appointments are available for clients that wish to allow me access to their pets when they are not home. This is a convenience reserved for clients and pets that I have served more than once. First-time clients are not eligible.
You agree to release passcodes to gates or doors, directions to entry, or a key placed somewhere I can easily obtain. I take this privilege of trust very seriously and take every precaution to respect your privacy and property while I have access.
If there is another person such as a neighbor that I need to contact for entry, please have that person readily and easily available on the day of grooming. Additional charges may apply if I'm kept waiting for this person to respond.
Your pet must be in an easily accessible area. Confining your pet in a bathroom or small area saves time and keeps me from accessing any private areas of your home. This allows your pet to remain on his or her grooming schedule and you get to come home to a clean and great-smelling pet!
Pets that decide a game of "catch me if you can" would be fun, will be charged a full grooming fee for the day if the pet is not accessible and will need to be rescheduled at the owner's expense for another appointment.

Confirmations & Cancellations
Once you have scheduled a grooming appointment for your pet, a text or phone call is sent to you. Please be sure you confirm your pet's appointment as soon as possible after receiving the notification. Be sure that your mobile phone is not blocking outside texts.
If I do not see that you have confirmed your appointment, I will resend the text or phone call to your home phone. Confirmations must be sent before I arrive.
Cancellations must be made at least 48 to 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Full grooming fees will be charged for those appointments that are canceled with less than a 24-hour notice. This includes appointments that are scheduled for multiple pet appointments. If one or all of your pets are not feeling well or are not able to be groomed on the day of the appointment and prior notification is not sent to me, you will be charged for that pet's time slot at full price.
All no-show fees and cancellation fees must be paid in full before another appointment is scheduled.
All pictures taken during grooming are subject to the terms and conditions on this website. Owner consents to the use of their pet's likeness or image for the use of educational purposes, website photos, and social media.
